1991 'J' registered initially as a 964 Carrera 4. This car has just come from Rennsport having been built, and the 175 miles were put on by Rennsport for running in. It is unused and a Brand New Build.
Straight Black Gloss with Whiskey Leather by Muirhead on Recaro CS Reclining Seats, 3.8 Litre High Compression Engine on Throttle Body Fuel Injection producing 320+bhp. 5 Speed Manual Transmission with Hydraulic Clutch to GT3 Specification, 4 Wheel Drive, ABS Power Brembo Brakes, Fully Adjustable Bilstein Suspension, Power Steering, Period Looking Satelite Navigation with DAB and Apple Play and Pioneer Speakers Front and Rear. Full Leather to Dash, Instrument Binnacle, Centre Console.
The original 3.6 Carrera 4 was taken back to the bare metal it was rebuilt using all steel panels. Front wings, rear arches, bonnet, front and rear panels, sills, B-posts and kidney bowls were all replaced to transform it to the full RSR bodywork of the 1973 2.8 RSR and it was painted in Hi Gloss Deep Straight Black to a very high standard.
Composite front and rear bumpers were fitted in keeping with the original along with the centre bonnet fuel filler. The carbon composite ducktail is made slightly differently to the original to help with engine cooling and aerodynamics.
The engine is built from the original bare crankcases. Fuly Blueprinted, it now runs forged 3.8 litre high compression pistons in Nikasil liners and RS Competition Camshafts.
The Fuel Injection system is to Rennsport's own specification AT Power Throttle injection with a fully programmable ECU, and currently set to 320+bhp. The transmission is the 5 speed gearbox with hydraulic clutch to Porsche GT3 Specification. This is a very powerful and robust engine set up. The Clubsport Bilstein Suspension features Polybushes all round and Power Brembo Brakes and Competition Pads.
It sits on 9x16” front and 10x16” rear RSR Lightweight Competition Fusch Style wheels which sit perfectly under the wider arches to finish off the sporty RSR design cues, and the interior features Whisket Muirhead leather on Recaro CS seats. The MOMO Steering Wheel comes in Black eather with a top centre marker in yellow and finished with a Porsche Colour Crest in the Centre. Either side, the shiny metal stalks add nice detail to the surrounding leather finish.
When the car was rebuilt every wearable part was either totally replaced with new parts, or totally refurbished. The odometer clocks were zero at the time of the Rennsport build so the current mileage showing of 180 is all the car has covered from its reincarnation. One of the real beauties of this particular car when you buy it is that you get to decide how the car is run in, as this is truly a virgin car.
