Porsche 3.2 Speedster 1989 –
We are delighted to offer this low mileage RHD wide-bodied 3.2 Speedster finished in Grand Prix white with a Navy Blue interior and mohair hood.
The car was originally ordered by renowned car aficionado and Australian collector Lindsay Fox, whose stunning Fox Collection and private museum, is one of the biggest in the world.
Built as a special wishes’ car, it features a factory fitted high level brake light integrated into the Whale Tail, which makes this a very rare car indeed. To our knowledge, this is the only known Porsche Speedster to have had this option fitted by the factory.
One of only 139 worldwide RHD cars ever built, the inspiration for the 3.2 Speedster stems from the original Porsche 359 Speedster of the 1950’s. Originally a Concept Car at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show, the model went into production in 1989 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 911s.
It also marked the end of the 911 Carrera series, which many say is still the most successful line of classic 911’s produced.
With a sporty lowered seat position and a steeper rake to the windscreen, complementing the low roof line and sexy speed humps behind the driver and passenger seats, the speedster is a true joy to drive. This particular car has also been specified with the shorter gear shift option and this combination with the G50 gearbox, makes the driving pleasure simply sublime.
If you are looking for a very special car to add to a collection, then this must surely be it.
The car is in perfect condition and is pretty much how it would have been, coming straight out from the factory. Having had only 3 owners with some 4,312 miles on the clock - we welcome any inspection.
An absolute treat for any true Porsche enthusiast.
